Millhouse Parents

Share definition Flag
When a romantically-linked couple could easily pass for brother and sister.

An individual who chooses to date someone who shares their physical characters is worthy of ridicule as they are presumably guilty of narcissism (at best) or incest (at worst).

Can work as well for homosexual couples who bear a familial resemblance, prompting assumptions that they are brother and brother, or sister and sister.

Origin: From the Simpsons, Bart's long-suffering sidekick Millhouse Van Houten has similar blue hair, thick eye brows, and large glasses as both his mother and father. Additionally, it is possible given Millhouse's poor judgement that his parents do in fact share the same genealogy.

From "The Simpsons: Season 22, episode 3 entitled: MoneyBart (2010)
Bart has provoked his noted-feminist sister Lisa with dismissive terms such as "Honey Pie" and "Tootsie Pop". Prompting Nelson to interject with the following:

Nelson Muntz: Hey, get a room, you two.
Lisa Simpson: We're brother and sister.
Milhouse Van Houten: So are my parents ... I think.
Concerned friend #1: Do you think Matt's girlfriend kind of looks the same as him? I mean, they're the same height, same hair color, they even laugh at the same jokes...

Concerned friend #2: Oh yeah! Total Millhouse Parents.

parent issues

When you have shitty parents leading you to have mommy and daddy issues. Unfortunately for you, you had to stay with one regardless of how incapable they were of caring for you. You often wonder what will become of you but if you stop and think for a bit then you'll realize that their bitch asses could have made you biologically but not psychologically. Show em what they're missing!
Mom: I'm going to a party for Christmas, don't know where you're going...
Spawn: .....oh, well I didn't have any plans but I guess I'll just stay here and study...
Dad: (Non-existent)

Entitled Parent

Share definition Flag
A Parent(97% of the time is a mother and can also be referred to as Karen ) who treats their child LIKE THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS. They will literally do anything to make life hell for anyone else just for their "Precious Little Angel " whether it's letting them do whatever they want in public places with no consequence, or will literally try to steal other peoples property like Peoples Pets or Backpacks or bikes E.T.C. But when the authorities come they will try to lie and cheat their way out of a sticky situation. They can be seen driving Minivans/SUVs(Preferably Kia) with their children in tow. They can be found at places like Coffee shops, Fast Food Places, Public Playground, Dog Parks and literally anywhere else where kids would be. They generally live in the upper-middle-class suburbs and carry Gucci or Louis Vuitton Handbags and Glasses. To hear some of these stories check out r/entitledparents on Reddit.
Entitled Parent: YOU THERE My child really likes your dog
Person: Oh thank you
Entitled parent: YOU WILL GIVE ME THIS DOG OR ELSE I WILL TAKE YOU TO COURT FOR THEFT OF PROPERTY!
Person: But this is my dog who is microchipped under my name.
Entitled parent: I DONT CARE! (tries to steal the leash but horribly misses)
Person: (Does the smart thing and runs away)

Asian Parents

(Usually, but not always) Strict, nosey, and controlling. They make you go to summer school if you get a B+ in an honors math class, even if you had the best grade out of all the Asians who took that class, and replace your grade all because 'if you get 4.0, you get sit on stage when graduate!'. To Asian parents, summer is not a 'break' as it is to other children in America, but 'a time to catch up'. Summer for Asian kids include SAT/ACT/PSAT prep (whether its doing books or taking classes), summer school, piles of math books, etc. while others are hanging out with friends and making s'mores. Asian Parents control their kids' lives because they want them to get into a good college, so that 1) They can brag to their asian friends about what college you go to <---MAIN REASON 2) You can be a doctor and make lots of money and 3) They can brag about how much money you make as a doctor
Asian parents often put on a facade to others that they are nice, normal American parents. Then, when your friends leave (if they ever get the OK to come over), your parents start yelling at you, pressuring you to do math, and/or beating you for something you did that 'embarassed' them (i.e. having a messy room). They also severely disapprove of technology (computers, ipods, tvs). If you get an A- its CLEARLY your ipods fault, so its going to be taken away until you get above a 98. If you watch an hour of TV, they begin yelling at you to stop and give you a lecture about how TV is like crack.
Asian summer: 8am-1:30pm summer school, 1:30pm-3:00pm math, 3:00pm-6:00pm tennis, 6:00pm-10:30pm math, FML

Asian parents: "I signed you up for PSAT class!"
Me:"...fine..."
Asian parents:"Ooo since good deal I signed you up for ACT class too!"
Me:"...WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!! But according to these pretests Ill either get a 35 or a 36!!!"

Me:"....I got...a 92%..."
Asian mom:"WHAT?! I told you no ipod! NO MORE IPOD till you get 98!!"

Me: -watching friends-
Asian mom: YOU WATCH TV FOR SO LONG!!!! GO DO MATH!!!
Me: But mom I've only been watching for an hour!!!
Asian mom: TV like drug!!! Once start can neeveerrrr stop! Addicted then you grades go down!

Asian mom: NO TV ON WEEKDAYS....AND 2 HOURS ON WEEKENDS

Asian mom: Getting B like cutting your leg off!

Striver

Share definition Flag
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh

SkyPesos

Delta SkyMiles, also known as SkyPesos, is the frequent flyer program of Delta Airlines. It has a very poor value and hard to use.
- I'm trying to book an award flight to Paris, but I only have 70,000 SkyPesos
- Just forget about it, you don't have enough SkyPesos to fly anywhere.
