Hardcore. A british strain of language birthed this pronunciation of the word "Hardcore". A derision of the early U.K. rave slogan "Hardcore you know the score". It also became synonymus with the transition of the early 90's acid house and northern U.K oldschool breakbeat scene, as it transformed into Jungle or Drum & bass.

Ardmore

The commerical hub of the Main Line. Chock full of banks, pizza shops, classy restaurants, artsy coffee shops, and BMW's, Audi's and Lexus's coursing through Lancaster Avenue at any given time of day. Also home to one of the original IHOP restaurants. Ardmore is a fairly diverse town, and does not have the reputation for being as money-laden as adjacent municipalities such as Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Wynnewood. Suburban Square, one of the first outdoor shopping centers, is located here.

Ardmore attracts the wealthy patrons of the Main Line because of its well-known business district.

Many residents of West Philly shop in Ardmore since Suburban Square is only a stone's throw away from the train platform.

Aroorum

Exactly what it sounds like, it is a mythical call made by a legendary creature that is known as "God backwards" (Dog) when opening its mouth to yawn. Mostly used by Huskies and talkative dog breeds in order to communicate through yawns, almost like a reply back.

The Siberian Husky yawned in excitement as its owner held out the leash. "Aroorum!"

'Ardkore

Breakbeat driven techno/house music from 1990-1994. This music uses breakbeats, clean sub bass, high pitched catchy riffs, moody strings, and often times sped up R&B lyrics which sound like chipmonks. In 1994 'Ardkore split into Jungle and Happyhardcore. 'Ardkore was the name of the style as pronounced by the British. It was actually spelt "Hardcore" however this becomes very confusing as "Hardcore" in the USA means Gabba as well as Death Metal. Author Simon Reynolds calls this music 'Ardkore in his books "Energy Flash" and "Generation Ecstasy".
