Sakata Gintoki

noun (from the manga/anime "Gintama" by Hideaki Sorachi); the main protagonist of the story. He is the founder of the Yorozuya (a freelance group) and is also a highly skilled samurai. In Yorozuya, he works with Shimura Shinpachi and Kagura. He enjoys eating sweet things and picking his nose in public. Other than the name 'Gintoki', he is also commonly referred to as Gin-chan or Gin-san. He has silver hair and a natural perm. He wears a black shirt and pants with red linings, and a white yukata (a summer kimono) with light blue patterns worn sloppily, draped over his left shoulder. His weapon of choice is usually a bokutou, a wooden katana, engraved with the word Touyako (or literally Lake Toya) on the handle, carried by his waist. During Joui wars, he was known as the legendary Shiroyasha (a.k.a. White Demon). According to Sorachi, Gintoki's name was based from Sakata Kintoki, also known as Kintaro, from a famous folk tale set in the Heian Perod. He does not like killing, willing to adapt his bushido to other people or the current times in order to avoid needless loss of lives which is the most probable reason for his carrying a wooden sword and not a real version. He is the target of the masochistic ninja stalker Sarutobi Ayame and he has a crush on the weather-girl Ketsuno Ana.
Sakata Gintoki's quote: "The country? The skies? You can have them. I'm busy just protecting what's right in front of me. I don't know what'll happen to me in the future, but if something has fallen at my feet, then the least I can do is pick it up."

Main character of the show Gintama. Sakata Gintoki is a lazy samurai with a sweet tooth, one of the three "Jacks of all Trades" along with his friends, Kagura and Shinpachi. He lives in an apartment he doesn't pay for because he is completely broke. Despite all that, he is completely awesome and will go to any lengths to protect his friends or anyone else.
Gintoki is so awesome he could pwn your face and you wouldn't even notice.

1) A manga by Sorachi Hideaki, which takes place the a twisted past of Edo, Japan where aliens invade and cause a jump in technology by a sheer 3000-4000 years.

Follows the story of Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura (with obvious side stories). A rather whimsical adventure where irony is the plot. In a general opinion, it is a nice change from all the "romantic" and "over-actionious" pace every other manga seems to have taken.

Also the author makes several various (and quite frankly hilarious) omakes.

*Is currently being scanalated by the Yanime Group.

2) Translates out to "Silver Soul" though can be mistaken for "Silver Balls".
Gintoki: "I'll urinate them a nice 'Thank you'."
Kagura: "All right, I'll vomit!"
Shinpachi: "Don't make little terrorist attacks of your own!"

EBK stands for "Elite Ball Knowledge." 1 In internet slang, "ball knowledge" originally referred to a deep understanding of football/soccer or basketball, but it has evolved into a broader term for having a highly sophisticated, deep, or niche understanding of any specific topic (such as music, movies, or subcultures).

Texas is categorized as a swing state in presidential elections, but has voted for Republicans more times than for Democrats in recent history. As such, as demographics change political alignments, some Democrats believe that Texas will vote blue, or Democratic, due to their Hispanic and African American voters, who often align themselves with the Democratic Party's liberal wing.

Blexas has been cited as possible in the upcoming decades, but only if Democrats continue to win the Hispanic vote in bigger margins.
Democrat 1: What is your prediction for the 2024 presidential election?
Democrat 2: Well uh, Blexas!
Democrat 1: You've been saying that since 2008 though.

Brought to public attention by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in the book on the fall of Richard Nixon, All The President’s Men, ratfucker was Nixon’s term for a political operative who sows chaos among opponents; an agent provocateur. It is thought to have originated among campus political rivalries at USC, and seems to have some usage in the US military.
Along with Nixon’s other ratfuckers, Roger Stone caused fights at otherwise peaceful Democratic Party protests to generate a false narrative that the Democrats were violent and dangerous.
