Ticket inspectors on public transport in Melbourne. They may be uniformed or plain clothed but are most commonly found in packs of 3 or 4. The term originates from the former name of Melbourne's public transport body 'The Met' later to become known as 'Metlink'.

Merbogan

A mythical creature that is very similar to a mermaid, it's indigenous to Frankston and the surrounding area. The word Merbogan comes from the Latin Mermaid and the Greek Bogan. Legend has it that a Merbogan lures cyclists and other athletes and gives them athlete's foot.

We saw a Merbogan coming out of the water today around Seaford, it was a scary sight.
