Unions brought us the weekend. And the 8-hour workday, and safe working conditions requirements, and fair pay for fair work, and protection from management harrassment

Group of workers who work together for eachother. A certant percentage is taken out of the paycheck in order for it to work effectively. Before unions some people had to work 84 hour workweeks in dangerous minds, going to work in the dark and waking up in the dark 6 days a week; and by the end of the week owing the company money.

The only thing that gives the working man a half descent chance at surviving in America. Rich fucking republican pukes hate Unions because they fucking regulate their greedy asses from ripping honest working people off. Unions are also kind of hipocritical in a way seeing as whenever a Union goes on strike, the strikers only get paid $5 an hour why the heads/owners of the unions make a shit load of money. Unions however are still better to have than not to have, so go fucking shove it you fat, lazy, republican pukes.

A democratic worker organization that enables employees to join together with one another in order to negotiate compensation, benefits, working conditions, and other terms of employment with their employer. Unions ensure that employers are 1) fair, 2) accountable and 3) responsive to employee concerns. Unions establish a process by which to deal with workplace issues and ensure that said process is applied evenly to employees.
By joining together with my coworkers to form a union, we fought for and won better benefits and a voice at work.

1. Workers unite to fight the man; the man is so damn powerful individuals have no chance, but if we all stick together, maybe we've got a chance to earn a decent wage.
2. The same organization gets people "taken off the schedule" because they won't give up 20% of their paycheck. See irony.

1. Thanks to the union for the 40 hour work week, health insurance, sick days...
2. This union extortion could turn a democrat into a republican

Unions were designed to help workers and they did. Lives and working conditions for the workers improved. But the power of the unions got out of control as they took control of the government and made laws. Now the government denies a struggling businessman the right to try to get his business out of financial difficulty by cutting workers or their wages. Telliong people how to run their lives, sounds like fascism. Apparently unions think they have the right to a job and because of that the businesses will go out of business and everyone will be out of work.
Stupid Lawyer: You can't fire that worker, he worked here for ten years. He has family.
Business Owner: I understand, but I have to cut costs to stay in business or else I will go under and no one will have a job.
Lawyer: You disgusting Capitalist pig, how dare you run your business the way you choose.
Business Owner's Lawyer: I'm sorry, but he right, due to the union laws, you can't just fire him.
