Those who engage in Goming are often well-versed in political jargon and current events, but lack the ability to assess their audience's enthusiasm for the topic.
While Goming, a person may display symptoms such as:
- Unwavering passion for Australian politics - Obliviousness to the disinterest of others
- Inability to change the subject
- A compulsion to share political memes and news articles
