Literally

Actually; in fact; without exaggeration. The single most overused and incorrectly used word in the English language.
"I literally died laughing."
"He just texted me, omg I literally can't."
"I am literally over it."
"This is literally the best peanut butter and jelly sandwich anyone ever made."
"He is literally such a jerk."
"I was literally, like, almost about to cry."

Now, let's look at this word used correctly:
"I know you're lactose intolerant...don't worry, there's literally no dairy in my house."
"Kim Kardashian has done literally nothing to deserve fame or fortune."
"Kanye West literally thinks he is Jesus Christ."

Literally

A red flag, using the word "literally" will instantly make you look like a dumbass. Some will try to use it to make them look smart (oh wow look at them using a big word), when in fact they are ignorant and arrogant. It's filler for the stupid and non-charismatic.
Complements a person who uses the word "like" all the time.
Like, like, literally, literally.
Like, literally suck it.

Literally

A word with very limited application in the English language that is nonetheless used extensively by millennials, and also by middle-aged hipster liberals, in attempts to sound smart and well-informed. The word is needlessly inserted into may statements, and is used gratuitously and/or incorrectly.
Chick I met at an anti-Trump rally: "I am literally so angry about the government shut down."
Me: "Literally? You were literally mad? You were afraid I would think you meant you were 'angry' figuratively?"

Same chick:"Oh my god, that was so funny I literally pissed myself!"
Me: "Um...are you sure?"
