Prison slang in south Texas in its Tex-Mex form. In proper Spanish it should be spelled huiso or huizo.
Pronunciation: wee-soh
In use by Hispanic inmates.

Inmate exclaims wiso as correctional officer enters housing unit. Officer then shivers in fear.
