Tangaro

A word used in Venetian slang to describe a young guy who is particularly rough and provincial, with ostentatious but inelegant manners. Often used as the Venetian version of a "maranza".

"I can't stand Giovanni; he's a *tangaro*."

"I'm not hanging out with those guys; they're such *tangari*."
