persephonous

Persephonous

adjective
1. Describing someone or something whose good intent is limited by the hellish and evil intent of others.
Kirsten felt a persephonous sadness knowing her submission of an amended Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) bill would be rebuked by her disingenuous colleagues whose arguments would be whitewashed with a Trump filter.

Persephone

1. Goddess of Spring and Underworld

2. Persephone was the beautiful greek goddess who was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter (Goddess of the Harvest). She was picking flowers one day when Hades, god of the Underworld, saw her and fell instantly in love with her. He then abducted her and took her to the Underworld with him (other interpretations say he raped her, but I don't think so). She was clearly not happy there since she missed her mother and wanted to go back home. He agreed to this and tricked her into eating a pomegranate. She ate six seeds of the pomegranate which bounded her to the Underworld for six months (fall and winter) and the other six months she spent with her mother (spring and summer). She later became Hades' wife which gave her the title of Queen/Goddess of the Underworld.

(This is only one of the Hades and Persephone interpretations)
1. I think the Persephone really did love Hades.
2. I think the story of Persephone is very romantic.

Persephonic

1. pertains to great beauty borne out of utter chaos and pain

2. pertains to the point where the depth of darkness meets the crest of the light, thereby creating an unsurpassable, immortal, undefinable kind of beauty and bliss

3. pertains to the by-product of two opposing extremes. For example, when the most intense destruction process meets the most inspired creation process, it becomes a PERSEPHONIC process. It is the perfect balance of two imbalanced extremes.

4. the ultimate, universal truth : the world is a paradox.

5. self-contradicting glamour

6. best statement for a situation, wherein, no matter what tragedy happens in a person's life, the end only foresees her in a positive, ethereal light
Only the late Gia Carangi has successfully exhumed the Persephonic spirit, yet.

Persephone

Persephone is a lovely girl with a big heart. She's shy at first but once you get to know her, you'll end up loving her. She is drop dead gorgeous and every guy would gawk at her. Only one man could steal her heart and make her his. She's a powerful and vibrant girl, almost like goddess.
Guy 1: Wow...she's so beautiful. Do you think she would ever go for a guy like me?
Guy 2: Keep dreaming, that's Persephone. Everyone want her to fall for them.
Guy 1: *sighs* She's a walking goddess. Any guy who gets her would be so damn lucky.

Perception

While our sensory receptors are constantly collecting information from the environment, it is ultimately how we interpret that information that affects how we interact with the world. Perception refers to the way sensory information is organized, interpreted, and consciously experienced. Perception involves both bottom-up and top-down processing. Bottom-up processing refers to the fact that perceptions are built from sensory input. On the other hand, how we interpret those sensations is influenced by our available knowledge, our experiences, and our thoughts. This is called top-down processing.

city chicken

A food native to Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania in which cubes of pork and/or veal are put on a short, wooden skewer, breaded, then baked and/or fried.

I've heard that city chicken originated during the Great Depression, when folks didn't have enough money to buy full cuts of meat, so they assembled meat scraps on a wooden skewer, creating a make-shift drumstick. Hence the name.

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.

A slang term used to describe a bald person, typically someone who is completely bald or has a closely shaved head. The term is derived from the infamous, hairless kids’ cartoon character of the same name.
Example 1:
“Did you see that caillou over there? His head is reflecting the sun like a disco ball.”
Example 2:
“I think Dave is finally accepting his hair loss. He just went full caillou and shaved the whole thing off.”
