decruit

The opposite of recruit - to be laid off of work. Generally in the context of a job where active recruiting takes place in good times.

I was recruited to work on Wall Street last year, but this year the economy took a shit, so I've been decruited.

An employee of a university who tries to talk someone out of enrolling at the university.

Decruiter: Looking at your high school GPA, you might want to consider going to trade school.

Prospective College Student: Man, I've just been dissed by a College Decruiter!
