Originating in 2018 Daste is a mixture of the bedfordshire slang terms ‘taste’(postitive term) and ‘dirt’ (negative term). Daste is saying which should be said when your taste and dirt but ultimately more taste than dirt. For example, if your football team is winning 2-1 and you have a bet on they will win 3-1, if the game finishes 2-1 your slightly dirt your bet didn’t come in but ultimately your taste cause your team won.
