A person with less knowledge who attempts to appear more intelligent by providing a solution that has already been established with the intent to take credit.
Jacob flagged down his supervisor to discuss a problem and solution that he had overheard his coworker Cece describing. He regurgitated the situation which left Cece feeling completely underminded as she knew all the intricacies and Jacob had clearly taken credit for her solution.
