retropour

The phenomenon in which liquid, when poured from a container such as a bottle or cup, flows backward or opposite to the intended direction of pour. Often observed when the liquid briefly travels along the underside of the pouring vessel before dripping off.

She tried to pour the juice into the glass, but a retropour caused some to spill down the side of the bottle and onto the table.

Phrases that were used back in other decades that are being used in todays time.

Andrew is totally retrophrasing tonight. He is using phrases like, "Thats the Cat's Pajamas" and "Gnarly!"

Retrogurgitation

Combination of retro and regurgitation. Refers to product styling bestowed upon a product that just needs to be killed because it has not evolved, and the designers and marketing dept have run out of new ideas, so they just drag out 40 year-old photos, and say "here, let's just do this again".

Typified by recent versions of the Cooper Mini, Mustang, Beetle, Charger, and the PT Cruiser/Chevy HHR separated-at-birth twins.

Retropublican

A person or ideological wing of the Republican party who believes that some laws should be reverted to their older forms ,circa 1955.
A person, group or philosophy that wants to return voting rights, civil rights, abortion, white supremacy, male domination to the way it was during the Eisenhower Administration around 1955.

Those darn retropublicans want to build up our nuclear arsenal even further.
