Pocket presence

A quarterback is said to have good pocket presence if he:

--Is able to sense when the pocket is closing in around him while simultaneously looking for open receivers

--Knows when and where to move within the pocket

--(Most importantly) Maintains composure in the pocket while under pressure
Good pocket presence separates decent quarterbacks from great quarterbacks.

pretenemy

Pretenemies act as if they dislike each other, when really, that isn't the case. It can be ambiguous, at times, as to just how fictitious the mutual dislike is or isn't.

Pretenemy is a portmanteau of "pretend" and "enemy."

Contrast with frenemy (friend and enemy), in which case there is definitely a genuine measure of emnity. Both frenemies and pretenemies, however, are friends on some level.
Example 1:

I'm pretty sure David and myself are pretenemies. We argue a lot but there is no real anger or disagreement, and we consider it entertaining. At least, I do...

Example 2:

Me: "I have an example in mind: 'But isn't Quinn just your pretenemy?'
"'No, he has no pretenemies. Everyone actually hates him.'"

David: "But you don't know Quinn has no pretenemies for a fact."

Me: "It doesn't matter, it's Urban Dictionary. It's an example."

David: "Then it's a dictionary, it has to be accurate."

Me: "This is why we're pretenemies."

false pretense

In law, it means making untrue statements for the purpose of obtaining money or property. It is a form of theft.

But it could also be a false representation of fact or circumstance; misleading; lying.
Disney should be charged with false pretense for making little boys and girls believe that life always has a happy ending, for making boys and girls believe that a bully will always get what they deserve, and for making little girls believe that there is a prince charming out there waiting to sweep them off their feet. This misrepresentation of life that Disney gives leads to their money gain.

public pretender

Court appointed attorney.
I got sentenced to six months in county jail, for something I didn't do, because of my public pretenders case overload and lack of experience.

Pretender

A woman who initially attempts to give men the impression that she is a prude and does not indulge in casual sex, but behind closed doors, she is very kinky and more than willing to engage in short-term, non-monogamous 'casual' sex with a man.
Do you know Linda? Linda is a Pretender and a Closet Freak. When she is at church, she behaves as if she will not have sex unless she's married, but if she is attracted to you, she will have sex with you the same night you first make her acquaintance.

I hate women who are Pretenders. They act all innocent, wholesome, and sexually conservative in public, then later you find out that they have videos of themselves participating in an orgy.

I love seducing women who are Pretenders. When you talk dirty to them, at first they act offended ... but then minutes later, they will usually let you know that your erotic dirty talk has them turned on. They love to present a prudish façade to men in order to prevent being labeled a "slut" or a promiscuous whore

murderhobo

In a tabletop game, a murderhobo is a player who murders NPCs indiscriminately. This is normally derogatory, referring to a player who totally ignores quests, dialog, backstory, trade, world building etc.

The term is most common with Dungeons and Dragons, but it can be applied to most RPGs where the player is allowed to kill most quest-giving NPCs and NPC traders. E.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Divinity original sin.
DM: The sad little orphan girl tugs at Steve's trenchcoat to get his attention, and ask for help saving her pet dog from...
Steve: I'd like to roll a strength check against strangling the orphan.
Dave: I call dibs on the dog.

In sales terms, a whale is a prospect that is significantly larger than an organization’s average customer.

Whales are large and extremely difficult to close. Due to their immense size, they are highly sought-after.

A whale is typically identified at first by a whale hunter on the sales team, but often requires cross-discipline participation in order to close; this includes assistance from operations, engineering, creative, client success, and business development teams.
"Shit...the sales director chewed me out on the sales call this morning. He's totally pissed that I have nothing in my pipeline. I've been focused on this one whale for so long that I haven't had time to prospect for normal-sized deals."
