when dana explains shit to me every 5 minutes
Her:Hey Dum-Dum - you gotta put the small pieces of wood on the fire first, before dumping a huge log from my aesthetic fox proof log pile.
Me:OK thanks for DanaSplaining that too me.

Dawgsplaining

Dawgsplaining, Dawg spraining, Dawg-splaining:

The immature whining of a weak minded , delusional college fan base uttering constant and unfounded complaints concerning officiating ,usually involving whiny, nasal, crying sounds, due to a loss from being out played and/or out coached by superior opponent. Typical of a fan base that walks around with “Alabama swagger but has a Tiny Trophy case.”
“After three consecutive collapses and humiliating defeats at the hands of the Crimson Tide, I needed ear plugs at the Piggly Wiggly checkout line to drown out the incessant Dawgsplaining from the loser uga fans! “

dansplanation

When a Danish person uses a combination of patriotism and limited knowledge of the non-Danish world to explain Danish society to a foreigner. This foreigner may be a tourist or a resident immigrant.
"Here in Denmark, we eat Danish rye bread. All of the children eat it every day. I don't know why and we don't think about it. That's just the way it is."

"Here in Denmark, all women hold jobs and work as equals to the men" is a dansplanation because it assumes that someone from another country or culture has a different experience.

Dadsplaining

When a father answers his child's question, no matter how simple, with undesired and tangentially relevant information and life advise.
I asked my dad where the spare tire was and he must have gone on for half an hour dadsplaining how to change it. I'll be damned if that information didn't come in handy a couple months later.

Dansplain

When someone says a string of words (mostly real english words) that almost make sense, but the more you read it, the less sense it makes.
I had to Dansplain to Marjory in a work group text that no one cares her phone battery is low.

When a Dave tells you all about a subject and is completely wrong despite being an 'expert'
Your father wouldn't stop Davesplaining at Christmas dinner.

dansplaining

When you explain something others probably know more about because you're inherently a cunt called Dan.
Oh for fucks sake, did he really just start Dansplaining that to me? I need to leave.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.

age gate

An absolutely foolproof way to keep minors from viewing content deemed "too mature" for them to watch.
Billy: "So I was trying to watch some videos for an M rated game, and I ran into an age gate, so I put in my real birthday. SOMEHOW it managed to figure out that I am 12. CURSE YOU AGE GATE!!!"

Bill: "Fucking age gate! *quick scroll* THERE! I was born on January 1, 1904. Fuck you age gate."
