When a Danish person uses a combination of patriotism and limited knowledge of the non-Danish world to explain Danish society to a foreigner. This foreigner may be a tourist or a resident immigrant.

"Here in Denmark, we eat Danish rye bread. All of the children eat it every day. I don't know why and we don't think about it. That's just the way it is."

"Here in Denmark, all women hold jobs and work as equals to the men" is a dansplanation because it assumes that someone from another country or culture has a different experience.

Mansplanation

An explanation (usually by a man to a woman) to explain why she shouldn't have found the sexist thing he just said, sexist.

"When I told him my looks shouldn't have any bearing on my ability to do my job, he told me to relax and gave a long mansplanation about how I should take being told I'm pretty as a compliment."

Danceplanation

A danceplanation is when a person is telling a story or explaining a concept while raising and waving their arms all over the place. At the same time they'll shuffle their feet and occasionally throw a small kick in front of themselves; but, kicking isn't mandatory. In extreme cases both feet may come off the ground.

You should have seen Bob's face when his girlfriend confronted him about that girl he was talking to at the bar. He was giving quite the danceplanation.

mansplanation mark

a word or utterance that would typically introduce a rebuttal but has been abandoned upon the realization that one was or will be wrong if speaking continues

"Actually...", she waited, sure even after seconds of awkward silence that the mansplanation mark would be carried to term if she were to reply before giving him time to mourn. It was sure to be another pyrrhic victory - her argument was sound and would ultimately prevail, but the deafening silence was the war drumming of his loss to his own embarrassment.

Displanationism

adj.

pronounced di-si-pla-ney-shun-ni-sim

It is a slang word that mocks the inactivity of avocadoes where they act like statues or display.

The avocadoes are not saying anything. That's a big sign of displanationism behavior.
