budler

A Budler is a mate, buddy, or 'bud' - who stays in your home rent free, and pays their way by doing chores round the house, cooking and generally mucking in - a bud who is a butler. A Budler.

"So James is staying at your place at the moment? I assume he's cooking for you and cleaning up to pay his way?"

"Damn straight he is. He's my budler..!"
