The Other Eye

The artist's eternal struggle:

When drawing a person's face, when you get to eyes, and you've drawn one perfectly, but you completely ruined the other.
Hey man, nice drawing.

No, it's awful and I hate it!

Whoa chill man. Why do you hate it?

I screwed up on the other eye!

What.

Words you can keep

In one eye and out the other

Failure to comprehend what you are reading because you are distracted or not focused.
I don't know why I am even trying to read this book - I can't focus with all this noise. Its just going in one eye and out the other!

In one eye and out the other

Something visually boring - to the point of your eyes losing focus - that numbs your brain.
A sermon from dad elicits the "in one ear and out the other" response while a friend's boring home movie gets an "in one eye and out the other" reaction.

one eye is going into the shop, the other is coming out with the change

When someone with a lazy eye is not wearing the prescribed glasses and their eye is wonkey.
Dude, one eye is going into the shop, the other is coming out with the change. LOL!

In one eye out the other

When your mind is completely elsewhere or unfocused as you watch someone demonstrate how to complete a certain task
Him: Aaaaand it’s that easy! That’s how you put a windshield wiper on a car. Now you try to put the other one on!

You: yeah I would love to but all of that just went in one eye out the other…

In one eye and out the other

When someone shows you how to do something and you pay no attention whatsoever and therefore cannot do the thing they showed you to do
I know I just watched you put that windshield wiper on the car… but it just went in one eye and out the other

Put those eyes on the other side

The equivalent of "Turn that frown upside-down," but on the internet.
CandyGurll776: I h8 my life, ugggghhhh :(
Broski23: Heey, put those eyes on the other side (:
More from Urban Dictionary
West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
Some grebo passed with Sabbath playing on his stereo.
The Poppies are at no. 17? God, a grebo band in the charts!
They're playing nu-metal now, bloody grebos!
