Britalian
Britalian is a term that functions as a catchy alternative to the more formal term Anglo-Italian or British Italian. Britalian capitalises on the duplication of the 'it' syllable in both British and Italian to form a cohesive blend of the two words. Britalians are British citizens or residents of Italian ethnic or national origin. Italians have resided in Britain since the times of Emperor Claudius' invasion in AD 43, in modern times however most British residents of Italian origin emigrated or their decendants emirgrated post-WW2 due to the extremly poor economic conditions in Italy. Britalians have long since contributed in every avenue of British culture, yet there is still an underlying xenophobic feeling directed t the Italian community in Britain. The sinking of the steamship SS Arandora Star on 2 July 1940 resulted in the loss of over 700 lives—including 446 British-Italians being deported as undesirable. There are of course several ethnic slurs specific to Italians which will not be listed here, but despite the Anti-Italianism mostly over the last century Italian culture and the Italian sense of identity for all the Italians the world over is still strong.

Armando Iannucci Scottish-Italian comedian, satirist, writer, director, performer and radio producer who's work includes; I'm Alan Partridge, The Thick Of It, Time Trumpet and the Academy Award nominated In The Loop for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2010. Britain is an ecclectic mix of different ethnicities, cultures, languages and communities the Italian community in Britain has a strong sense of pride and will continue further itself in culture as well as contribute to British culture.

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
