aequitas

In Roman mythology, Aequitas, also known as Aecetia, was the goddess of fair trade and honest merchants. Like Abundantia, she is depicted with a cornucopia, representing wealth from commerce. She is also shown holding a balance, representing equity and fairness. During the Roman Empire, Aequitas was sometimes worshipped as a quality or aspect of the emperor, under the name Aequitas Augusti.

Aequitas is the tattoo that one brother has in the film The Boondock Saints. His brother has a tattoo of the word Veritas. They represent justice/equality/balance/fairness and truth.

Aequitas is the source of the word equity, and also means "equality" or "justice".

Arequipa

AREQUIPA is a beautiful town in Peru, South America, founded on Aug 15 1540, by Manuel Garci de Carbajal. The name comes from the quechua "Arequipai" which means "yes, stay here".

It is located at the base of the Cordillera Occidental of the Andes, right in front of Volcan Misti, Arequipa (2,350 m.o.s.l), Is a beautiful city with colonial houses built out of sillar (limestone).

It is called the White City, because all the buildings are white due to the material used, the limestone.

Arequipa has a lot of good things to offer. It is a magical city and you can also visit the villages around it and even venture to the deepest canyon of the world, The Colca Canyon where you can see they Condors fly. There is an even deeper canyon, the Cotahuasy Canyon but it is further in and more dangerous to get too, that is why it hasn't been officially recorded as the deepest canyon yet.

Arequipa is waiting for you!
I felt a shadow over me, everything went dark for a second. I looked up and there it was, a Condor flying over me at the Colca Canyon. It was so sudden I couldn't take a picture. I took pictures of my whole trip to Arequipa but not of that Condor, the most magnificent experience I've had, which I will cherish for ever in my memories.
