Turkpocalypse

Turkpocalypse is another word for the United States civic holiday, Thanksgiving.

Turkpocalypse refers particularly to the large-scale killing of turkeys in preparation for the Thanksgiving celebration, since turkey is the most common main dish served at the central meal to which the celebration is largely dedicated each November.

In a silly display of tradition, every year the President of the United States 'pardons' at least one turkey, saving it from its otherwise certain doom with the annual arrival of Turkpocalypse.

One side-effect of Turkpocalypse is a nationwide tryptophan-induced, after-dinner nap while watching the game on TV.

Slang term for a streetwalker in the Waterloo/Arlington area of Akron, Ohio. The nickname spread after a local fast food restaurant advertised a $1 chocolate turnover on their signage. One in particular, a reportedly transgendered person known as Darrina, patrols the area on her red hoveround mobility device.

Gunther had one of those dollar chocolate turnovers from in front of Arby's last night. He's lucky she didn't roll his ass and take his rental car.
