Term used to describe any
restaurant item which is meant to be fancy or
exclusive (presumably for the purpose of driving up menu prices), but it only comes off as unnecessarily hoity toity.
Any normal menu items would be
chicken breast, carrots, tomato, sour cream, lettuce, etc. While items like togarashi tempura, nduja ricotta, slow cooked sunchoke, house mascarpone, chow chow, etc. would be considered churnk de schplur.
