muelling
A form of mulling (over) a particularly difficult (or gruelling) decision, concept, or thought. Muelling is often but not exclusively performed by any person with the surname: Mueller, Moeller, Miller, Müller, and/or Möller. Muellers (not to be confused with the subset of all people with the surnames Mueller or Müller (disambiguation)) often exhibit the following symptoms while muelling: muttering under one's breath, feverished pacing, leaning head-first into walls or tall objects, muffled sobbing and/or gasping, and repetetive uttering of nonsensical words, phrases, or numbers aloud.
The root of the word can be traced back to when German millers (surname being Müller) would lead domesticated animals/hairy-ass-slaves (yes, both stresses of the phrase are correct) around a circular track, spinning a large stone wheel over a slab covered with grain to produce flour.
