dinflation

Dinflation is the phenomenon that occurs at a restaurant when the diners realize the check will likely be split evenly and over order, causing the final check to be inflated. The dinflation/over order is generally late in the meal and may be an extra bottle of wine, a digestif (e.g. port), or dessert that you wouldn't normally order.

This phenomenon is particularly prevalent in situations where a meal is spread out over many shared courses, where a bottle of wine is ordered & shared, when some of the party shows up late complicating things, or when patrons are not carrying cash and the polite thing to do is simply "split the check X ways" to save the waiter the headache.
The evening started out pretty reserved with just the three couples. But after a round of appetizers and two bottles of wine, folks realized the check was going to be complicated. Dinflation occurred when they set caution to the wind, ordered the most expensive cut of meat and someone even ordered a cigar.

daykation

A day in which the individual spends the majority of his day outdoors with a minimum of two hours exercise. Indoor activities are avoided as much as possible. Primary focus for the day is on increasing ones personal space, and fitness. Including other people in this activity is encouraged as our society is dangerously sedentary, being coaxed into the use of mood medications and getting commands and canned information from TV, movies and computer screens.
Hey, turn off your computer and let’s go for a daykation in the woods and hike on those trails by the river.

Maria got bored going to the movies every weekend and finally started having really fun daykations on Sundays jogging with her friends and their dogs at the beach.

Word deflation

The phenomenon that occurs when a powerful descriptive word becomes popular and then loses its power though repetition and incorrect use. The word awesome was once reserved for sights like the Niagara Falls and accomplishments like climbing Mt. Everest, but now it can be appropriately used to describe a really good sandwich. Word deflation ultimately requires using or inventing an even more powerful descriptive word to gain the previous effect of the now deflated word. A car crash must be horrific if taking a really long time to find a parking spot is horrible.
I knew the word epic had suffered major word deflation when Kaylen used it to describe the results of his last trip to the bathroom.
