Samantha Brick from the Daily Mail is nothing but a clicktroll as is Andrew Brown of the Guardian.

clicksand 

A webpage that captures an individual in an endless stream of consecutive page clicks. Typically found in wiki-style websites where users are presented with paragraphs filled with branching informational links on a number of topics. The more one struggles to complete the sequence of links, the harder it is to escape. May result in browser crashes due to tab overload.

Clicktures that are more visually appealing will cause more people to click on them and increase the number of page views.
