Churchianity

A term coined by Bible teacher Richard Pope during a sermon characterizing the condition of the modern-day Christian Church and how different it's teachings are from the original ideas and message of the historical Jesus.

XYZ Church is just another example of Churchianity. Jesus never taught the things the pastor said in this morning's sermon.

Churchmonger

A churchmonger is a person a person who is highly motivated in their religious beliefs and pushes those beliefs upon others. They sell their religion as a person would sell goods.

Ray and Greg are churchmongers. Every time I see them, they constantly talk about Jesus and try to convert me.

Churchinitis

A psychological condition that occurs in church people who spend too much time in church. It is caracterised by a urge to blow every situation out of a proportion. Simple, conversations between a male and female are viewed by other church people as a full blown relationship or a crush. Actions occuring between any two people of the opposite gender are almost always viewed as more than what it really is.

New guy in church is commenting on a church girls pictures on facebook and is texting her and socializing with her. Because, the new guy is new to church he does not see anything wrong with what he is doing. But because church girl and the rest of the church have churchinitis they begin to believe that he must be in love with her.
