Alteration of profess, to make a false or overly-enthusiastic declaration of one's affection for/to another person as if they were one's bro, usually a result of a drunken situation.

Brandon: Dude, I totally can't believe you brofessed to Sam last night.
Dave: Yeah I know, I've only talked to the guy once or twice before.
