Obsessive brainstorming for hours or even a whole day usually due to perfectionism and often results in no ultimate decision making on how to create your project (hence the word maladaptive (counter-productive).
(Notes:
Leading to fatigue, migranes, poor focus and even giving up work to brainstorm.
It can come from perfectionism, worrying about leaving out important details that aren't actually that important and fear of rejection / criticism).
