Al Bowlly, he was considered one of Britain’s first
pop singers, he was killed by a Luftwaffe parachute mine that detonated
outside his flat at ten past three in the morning, on 17th of April, 1941. He is mainly known
today by these songs that made their way to popularity with his name, “Heartaches” and “Midnight, The Stars and you”.
