Suiren 

Suiren (Chinese: 燧人) appears in Chinese mythology and some works which draw upon it. Suiren (literally, "Fire Maker") is credited as a culture hero who introduce humans to the production of fire and its use for cooking (Wu 1982, 51, and Christie 1968, 84). He was included on some ancient lists of the legendary Three August Ones, who lived long before Emperor Yao, Emperor Shun, and the emperors of the earliest historical Chinese dynasty (Xia), and even before the Yellow Emperor & Yandi. Suiren’s innovation may have been the bow drillcitation needed which dates back at least to the Indus Valley Civilization. Tradition holds that he ruled over China for 110 years.

Surrender Day 

Surrender Day — August 24th 2023 Surrender Day: the first time that a former American President will have an actual mug shot taken; and, face 91 total criminal charges in four jurisdictions. The court ordered surrender or be arrested.

The mug shot of Donald J. Trump, The Mandarin Orange Mussolini is on track to become the most famous presidential portrait in history.

Ironic because Trump refused to either hang or publicly commemorate the portrait of his rival, Barack Hussein Obama.

Donald J. Trump, The Cantaloupe Colored Caligula, has been booked four times in four consecutive months in the same year — 2023.

In Republican debates held on Surrender Day Eve, six of eight Republicans vowed to vote for Trump if he won the Republican Nomination.

One, Vivek Ramaswamy, vowed to pardon Trump of all crimes if became America’s first South-Asian Indian president.

Perspective: in many states, an ex-convict — a returning citizen — who has paid his or her debt to society and successfully served his or her jail time CANNOT VOTE IN A NATIONAL ELECTION. And there is definitely no mention of a pardon

Just sayin’.

Trump — a master of media manipulation — chose Surrender Day purposely to occur during prime time; to occur the day after the Republican Debate; to purposely to upstage the debate; to receive maximum media coverage; and, to still have one day in the news cycle so that he would dominate the news all weekend.

Will we ever fucking learn?

sirenology 

Sirenology is the study of the nature, origin, and cultural impact of the species mermaid. In the 20th century this area of study became broadened to include human women considered to be a temptress or seductress especially celebrities such as Mae West and Marilyn Monroe. Contemporary music videos such as those of Lady Gaga and Rihanna continue the long association between music and the siren in mythology and human culture. In the 19th century Sirenology also was used as a term in the study of the aquatic mammals manatee and dugong which became involved in Mermaid theory.

The study of the religious significance of Lasyrenn in Haitian Vodou is considered to be one example of Sirenology.
