Schnorkel

Share definition Flag
Noun

An alcoholic beverage that involves redbull and flavored vodka. Similar to "shotgunning" a beer, you take a can of redbull and tipping it sideways puncture a hole near the bottom of the can. You then pour out some of the redbull and fill the can with flavored vodka. When ready, tip the can up, open the can and chug.

Beverage and word originated in Wisconsin.

schnockered

Share definition Flag
The state of being while drinking where one is one level above drunk but one level below throwing up. Characteristics of being schnockered: Realization of being drunk but still denying it, delusions of being able to beat up someone who outweighs you by 50 pounds, realization that you will puke later and ordering a second round of shots anyway, buying the bar, etc.
God, you were so schnockered last night!

I feel like getting schnockered.

I'd feel better if I could just throw up...(hence, they are schnockered).

schnarple

Share definition Flag
A schnarple is the result of a habit where a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" paper is VERY tightly rolled diagonally into a cylinder. The top 3/7ths is then folded over, bitten with the teeth to crunch down into place and flattened. The top 1 1/2" is then folded over and bitten down and so on until it is folded into a rectangle approximately 1/2" x 2". The creator soon after usually grabs another piece of paper to start again.

A word originally coined circa 2000 by Caleb at CCS, Roseville, CA to describe the classroom creations of then seventh grader, C2010 Joel CS04 USAFA. A habit done by Joel when he is bored, stressed, nervous, listening to a lecture, playing table games, or working on a term paper. Similar to those who pop gum, crack knuckles, twirl hair, or doodle.

Annoying to those (typically teachers, parents, or roommates) who encounter schnarples usually left lying on the floor, around desks (including the CQ), or on tables. Sometimes collected and saved in bottom drawers and in scrapbooks. Annoyance is further compounded when the creator takes unused paper instead of scrap paper that family members have saved explicitly for this purpose.
An example of a schnarple is given in the first paragraph.

Striver

Share definition Flag
The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh
