From the Ukrainian word гоняк, Slovak "honjak", and Bavarian German "Honjak", all of which originally meant "bloodthirsty pursuer" as a deprecative of the word for "Hun". The word is a relic of the Hunnish invasions of Central Europe.
Max, don't hang around those honyaks. All they'll do for you is get you in trouble.

When I asked him what it means, he told me that a honyak is 10 pounds of horse poop in a six pound bag!

-A fore-thinking hamster-like rodent extolled in Russia for its planning abilities so is used in many cartoons.

-A mountain in Transylvania with the Virgin Mary planted on top of it making it a destination of many pilgrimages,which is also the home of many homiak rodents making me wonder if people are going there to pray to the virgin for guidance or consult the all-wise hamsters.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
