That Godwin is a cool guy

An occurence so odd and out of the ordinary, it had to be put in place by God. A wink from God letting you know you're in the right direction.
I cannot believe that after moving cross-country, I ran into a man who used to live 5 blocks away, growing up. It's definitely a godwink that we met.

Godwin's Second Law

"Anyone who uses 'woke' as a pejorative will turn out to be a fuckhead."

The law was coined in a 2022 tweet by Mike Godwin.
Person 1: Did they seriously have to make the main character gay? This is forced diversity. I'm tired of all the rampant wokeness in modern media.
Person 2: Godwin's Second Law. You lose.
Verb

Typically used on internet chat forums, to Godwin a thread or topic is to somehow make reference to Nazi Germany, or Nazis in general, which has the effect of derailing the thread and completely changing the intended subject.
Carman34: Acuras are better than BMWs.
SexyDude: I disagree, BMWs are better cars than Acuras.
xTroll69: BMWs have their roots in Nazi Germany.
Carman34: That's not true, the Nazis preferred to...etc etc
SexyDude: You just totally godwin'd this thread! Good work!

Godwin's Law

A term that originated on Usenet, Godwin's Law states that as an online argument grows longer and more heated, it becomes increasingly likely that somebody will bring up Adolf Hitler or the Nazis. When such an event occurs, the person guilty of invoking Godwin's Law has effectively forfieted the argument.
"Dude, shut up. Nobody cares what you think."

"Oh, so now you're trying to censor me? Go to hell, you damn Nazi!"
