Words you can keep

C.O.D. Blocker

Noun, pronounced "Cod" blocker

Any person or thing that keeps you or someone else from playing countless hours of Call of Duty online.
Example:

T: Dude, you said you were going to get online and play some Call of Duty with me! These insurgents are going to kill themselves. What's the deal?

K: Sorry dude, I was, really. It's just my girl-friend, she's all "you need to spend some time with me." and crap. I just can't do it right now.

T: What?! She's being like that? Dude she's a total C.O.D. blocker!

A tactic surmised by angry girlfriends that consists of making the player feel guilty about playing call of duty instead of spending quality time with each other.
Steve: Dude I wanted to get three more rounds of COD in, but my girlfriend was just sitting next to me looking pissed. I couldn't take the guilt so I just quit and took her to the mall.

Mike: Sounds like a COD block to me.

Getting CoD blocked is when you're playing Call of Duty (online or not) and you see a stream of enemies run by that you can easily kill all of them. However, when you pick up your gun to kill them, you get shot in the back (or in the worst case scenario, stabbe in the back)and die before you're able to finish killing them all, or even killing one.
Bren: Check it out guys. There's three of 'em right there.

Vic: Kill them all.

*Bren tries to shoot, but instead sees a replay of him getting stabbed by some random dude. In other words... He gets CoD blocked*

Vic: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
