traffiction

Traffiction is a fabricated or embellished story detailing a chaotic scene of gridlock conceived and delivered in an effort to explain one’s tardiness or absence from work / a party / your wedding / etc.

Good things to reference when telling a traffictional story:
1. Man on fire (include details like, “waving his arms wildly”)
2. Godzilla
3. Broken-down bus of cheerleaders
4. Volcanic eruption
5. Scene from Armageddon (just don’t mention Bruce Willis)
6. Sanjaya
Example of traffiction:
Wow, I know I’m late, but there was the most incredible accident on the Beltway that tied me up for hours! I was moving along making great time, when up ahead I could just make out a cow wandering onto the highway. I guess the tractor trailer ahead of me didn’t see it –he must have been going at least 80 mph. The explosive impact had cars screeching to a halt and ended in a massive pileup. I was able to stop in time, but it still took the workers and clean-up crew several hours to carve a path through the cars and meat. As I finally passed by the (now totaled) tractor trailer, I noticed the mangled Chick-fil-a logo…irony can be so cruel. So, anyway…did I miss the birth of our son?

Facebook (no)tification

Pronounced: Facebook NO-tification

1. Takes place when one is excited about having one or more facebook notifications but soon finds that they are all irrelevant or unexciting.

NOtifications are: invites to out-of-state parties, options to support causes one does not care about, comments and 'likes' from strangers, when a friend request is accepted, invites to lost cell phone events where you have no intention of sharing your number.

2. A NOtification can also take place when one receives a notification for a wall-post, photo comment (etc.) that no longer exists.

3. When facebook will not recognize that a notification has already been checked, resulting in one believing they have a new notification when it is in fact old.
Jill: "If I get one more facebook (No)tification about Courtney's graduation party, I'm going to leave the event."

Vicky: "Every time I log in to I think I have a new notification but it's always the same facebook (No)tification about that creep commenting on my profile picture."

Jill: "I totally thought that cute guy Jack wrote on my wall, but there's nothing there."
Vicky: "That's called a facebook (NO)tification"

The Trifection

A three-piece combination of blonde hair, perfect teeth, and large breasts.
"Excuse me ma'am, may I posit that your bodice and countenance exemplify The Trifection?"

"I can't get my business up and running until I see some of those beautiful teeth, underneath those golden locks, above those perfectly large cans - I need the Trifection."

triction

Definition: truth hidden in fiction.

I took the words truth and fiction and combined them. I would have to go back years in my diaries to find when I first coined the word triction. I coined the word to help people understand that I was hiding true incidents in my life in a fictional story setting.

If I could I would love to be able to tell you the exact date I made the word up from my diary records. However, I do know for a fact that I used the word and definition in a foreword dated October 28, 2014 in one of my kids book called, "Life Lessons with R.J."

Neo-trification

While the first symptom of a coming condo-shroom in your municipality is the rising number of renovictions, the real goal of renoviction is neo-trification , not the condo-shroom and its negative consequences.
