Tapolo (noun) tuh-POH-loh

Definition: A profanity coined to convey extreme disdain or contempt towards a person, situation, or object. Used when no other word seems adequate to express the intensity of one's feelings.

Example: "When Jim found out his partner had betrayed him, he muttered 'tapolo' under his breath, feeling it was the only word strong enough to encapsulate his anger and disappointment."

Etymology: "Tapolo" was coined by Ann an English student from the Netherlands, who likely combined sounds chosen for their harshness and impact. It has gained popularity due to its versatility in expressing strong negative emotions.

In mathematics, topology (from the Greek τόπος, place, and λόγος, study) is concerned with the properties of space that are preserved under continuous deformations, such as stretching, crumpling and bending, but not tearing or gluing. This can be studied by considering a collection of subsets, called open sets, that satisfy certain properties, turning the given set into what is known as a topological space. Important topological properties include connectedness and compactness.

Using topology, you can figure out why a hole in a hole in a hole is just like a three-handled coffee cup.

A (pseudo)science which organizes people into groups based on their core motivations, how they think, and what they do. It's used for personal growth and just for fun as a hobby. Examples of popular typology systems include Meyers-Briggs (MBTI), Enneagram, 4 Temperaments/DISC, Big 5/OCEAN, Socionics, Attitudinal Psyche, and 16Personalities (ew). And no, astrology is not typology.
