Similar to a shindig, a "shimdig" is a party of transender individuals.

Q: Is that a group of girls or boys down there partying?

A: Both, it's a shimdig.

A non-existent, or imaginary event used to mislead or placate others.
From shindig; a gig, party or event and ‘shim: an invisible placeholder.

Alan was wondering why we couldn’t be there. So, I created some shimdig for next Saturday.
