A psychopath masquerading as a philanthropist.
These wealthy individuals make donations under the guise of contributing to a good cause but are actually investing in their sinister and self-serving agendas.

Frank: the dad of Dennis and Sweet Dee, played by Danny DeVito, usually the brains of the operation, used to be a millionaire until he gave it all up to live with Charlie, always carries a gun around.
The cast doesn't care about anyone else, innocent bystanders are always getting hurt, which in the end they really don't benefit from anything except getting fired, arrested, injured, or injuring random people.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
