motoconcho

A small motorccycle, usually about a 110cc, used for cheap taxi service, in the Dominican Republic. It is not unusual to see one with up to five or six people one, all at the same time. They are also sometimes used instead of a pickup truck, etc., for moving large items, such as washing machines.

I was going to take a taxi to the beach, but I only had fifty pesos, so I opted for the "motoconcho".

A combination of motorist and moron....or, a moronic motorist. Any driver who has no sense of the rules of the road or is oblivious to the other vehicles around him or her. That idiot behind the wheel that everyone else has to slow down and/or wait for. The one who causes the accident without actually being involved or even realizing they've caused it.

Driver: "Did you see that jerk? he just cut off 3 people changing lanes like that!"
Passenger: "What a motoron!"
