Jihad literally means "struggle". This constant struggle is to establish islamic norms and rituals by deceit or pseudo-secularism and it touches every aspect of human life. It focuses on changing on demographics of a place, region or country so that Islam can be established as de facto.

Jihad is to struggle, fight, or strive in the way of God. This does not always mean fighting with violence, but also daily struggles. Trying to be a good Muslim is jihad.

Jihad is often translated as "Holy War", although a closer translation from its arabic origins is "struggle towards good", whether that means internal strife or fighting against those who attempt to destroy Islam.

Also note, the word Jihad does not mean to kill infidels as is often said by racist fatherless children ie-bastards, but rather defend Islam against those who wish to destroy it. Islam does not say to conquer the world and enslave or kill all infidels.

probably the most misconceived arabic word in existence. it means to work hard and be just, despite obstacles and difficulties. it is the holy war within oneself, the struggle to be a righteous, good human who treats everyone with love and respect, despite the difficulties of everyday life. it does NOT mean blowing oneself up in the name of god. that is done by twisted lunatics who do not know what Islam really is.

in life, it is a jihad to be patient and kind when people are cruel to you.

Jihad 

A controversial Islamic practice which, contrary to popular belief, does not strictly refer to holy war, but taken literally means “to struggle”. In the Qu’ran it refers to an internal struggle inside everyone between the desire to enjoy the pleasures of this world, or to seek God’s will. When an Islamic cleric declares “It is the duty of all true Muslims to wage Jihad against the infidel”, what he most often means is “it is the duty of all true Muslims to struggle against the ways, practices, ethics and morals of the infidel”. In modern times this usually means that Muslim youth need to struggle against the West’s commercialization and perversion of certain subjects, such as sex for example. They’re calling they’re followers to boycott Western movies that show and promote indecent exposure, to boycott CD’s which promote and un-Islamic way of life, (usually gangsta rap, rock and roll and pop) and they encourage their ladies to wear the hajaff or beka out of modesty and so as not to lead Muslim gentlemen into temptation and impure thoughts.

Jihad 

Jihad, widely but perhaps loosely translated as 'struggle', a religious word that on a personal level is a spiritual struggle on a small-scale eveyday matter, the Jihad results in a form of abstinence, so to place a Jihad on selling drugs, is to recognise the immorality of the action, remind oneself not to sell drugs, or abstain from selling drugs if one already does so.
To rid yourself from an evil as such.
Religious Extremists might, I suppose, take the 'ridance of an evil' to such levels as a war on Infidels/corrupt Western civilisation but I have never met a Fundamentalist Muslim Extremist and so would not know.

I put a Jihad on Racists, I will avoid them and rid myself of racist thoughts or ideas.

I put a Jihad on Kentucky Fried chicken

My Dad thought it would be best to put a Jihad on my Religious Extremist Boyfriend, hence him not being allowed in our house.
