melandonia

melandonia- The depressing, hopeless feeling of losing someone you love, forever. Whether it be a friend that has been cut out of your life, or a loved one who is now but a memory. This feeling hits you with the realization like a train, and once it happens there is no turning back, there is only “brace for impact.” The pain is so apparent that it is no longer a feeling but an entity begging for attention, a habit that must be satisfied. Your life prior to this loss is over, and your future is forever changed, for the worse. Coping is not an option, it is not pleasant, you must drag on miserably until there is no one left to remember the one you loved, or even you.
The melandonia was much worse at night, with the gaping hole of loss in my chest and nothing left but darkness to swallow me, I truly understood what loss was.
