A variable in a programming language that was supposed mean that a certain match was ok. But because no camelcasing was used (like matchOk), it became a not understandable non-sense variable.

Matchbox 20
An adult-alternative band of the late '90s and early '00s. The have had many chart topping hits such as "real World", "Push", "3 a.m.", "If You're Gone", and "Unwell". The band consists of Rob Thomas (vocals, piano, accoustic guitar), Kyle Cook (lead guitar, vocals), Paul Doucette (drums, percussion, vocals), Brian Yale (bass), and Adam Gaynor (rhythm guitar, vocals). The group formed in 1996, and they have released 3 albums to date. Rob Thomas, Brian Yale, and Paul Doucette were all previously in the band called Tabitha's Secret before they formed Matchbox 20.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
