froddle

A delightful mixture of "frighten", "startle" and "fondle"; usually used when a person is startled in close proximity.

This term is generally used when the mixture is male and female and likely within an office/professional setting.

Male turns a blind corner and stops suddenly to not run into female co-worker/supervisor/landlord: "Whoa! Go ahead! Didn't want to froddle you!"

A semi-frozen puddle created by plowed snow at the intersection of streets and sidewalks that has begun to melt creating an icy, deceptive sinkhole. A fruddle usually contains a mix of snow, salt, exhaust, dirt, cigarette butts and fast food wrappers from the previous fall.

Dave tried to lift Ari over the fruddle but let him slip and he ended up with juicy boots.
