Smacked badly in the face by a low flying duck or Swan. Also the act of waving ines arms in alarm trying to avoid it.

The runner ran round the canal tow path. Not knowing coming the other way was a low flying Swan. The floddlewallop was painful an inevitable neither could avoid mainly due to the sun.
