Tradwives

Plural of tradwife.

1. A phenomenon of women who choose to live as stay-at-home moms, but especially so if they are associated with conservative movements (paleoconservatism or even politics bordering on far-right). The wojack of a blonde woman in a flower dress is often seen as a tradwife, though has been used differently with the evolution of the meme.

2. A buzzword that has become meaningless among a subsection of Gen Z leftists involved in stan culture. Instead of accusing people of genuinely being conservative women, it can mean people who don't like a certain pop-culture icon who's arbitrarily being assigned as progressive.
Madeline: What the fuck? This Taylor Swift fan account just accused me of being a tradwife.
Abby: Aren't you a feminist who has a job? I don't get why they'd accuse you of promoting politics like that.
Madeline: No, I just made fun of Taylor Swift. Since some fans are fixated on her being a feminist icon, people who aren't her stans can just be called 'tradwives'.

Short for "traditional wife" (that is to say, a female homemaker).

The word has nothing to do with neo-nazism as some definitions here have suggested, it's just stands for "traditional wife". Some women choose to do that, and some women don't. Each person has a right to pursue happiness as they see fit, right?
Woman A on twitter: I'm thinking about quitting my job and doing the tradwife thing.

Woman B on twitter: How fucking dare you?!? The civil rights activists who fought to give you your rights, they must be spinning in their graves right now!!!

Woman C on twitter: Actually, those activists fought for her being able to CHOOSE whatever job she wants. So if she wants to choose the full-time homemaker job, then what goddamn business is that of yours, you anti-freedom authoritarian asshole?
