Robert Swire AKA Anscenic, is the lead singer and producer of Australian drum and bass band Pendulum.

He is originally from Perth, Western Australia but relocated to the United Kingdom in 2003 with fellow Pendulum co-founders Gareth McGrillen and Paul "El Hornet" Harding.

Sirenology is the study of the nature, origin, and cultural impact of the species mermaid. In the 20th century this area of study became broadened to include human women considered to be a temptress or seductress especially celebrities such as Mae West and Marilyn Monroe. In the 19th century Sirenology also was used as a term in the study of the aquatic mammals manatee and dugong which became involved in Mermaid theory.

The study of the religious significance of Lasyrenn in Haitian Vodou is considered to be one example of Sirenology.
