A shiteknight is a person with low self-esteem who combats this with an unwavering need to aid others in maintaining the delusion that they were born in the wrong body. They usually have very isolated personal lives as they are very judgmental of others, surrounding themselves only with those who feed their need to center men in gender-critical activism. Most commonly sighted in older men in regards to transgender identifying males.
Chronic shiteknighting often occurs in correlation with chronic self-esteem problems where the person needs to maintain a high view of themselves through self-righteous acts of pseudo-kindness.
