Schizotypal

Schizotypal Personality Disorder is a "schizophrenia spectrum" disorder, a mental illness characterized by social isolation, unusual perceptions, and odd or eccentric behavior. The cognitive effects of this disorder are similar but less severe than Schizophrenia. It is somewhat common for SPD traits to appear in patients with OCD. As with Schizophrenia, SPD can be passed through genetic material, but studies also show that neglect or abuse in early childhood can trigger the development of schizotypal traits. Gender differences mention women being more prone to cognitive peculiarities, with men exhibiting more behavioral abnormalities and social withdrawal.

Common symptoms of SPD include:
- Inappropriate or blunted affect (exhibiting emotions inappropriate for a given situation, or the numbing of emotion)
- Social withdrawal
- Impulsive nonconformity (emotional instability, eccentricity or oddness in appearance, unconventionality in social situations)

- Paranoia
- Elaborate or disorganized speech
- Unusual or "magical thinking" (hallucinations, delusions, the belief that a mundane occurrences hold certain significance or a signs specifically for the individual to find)

Schizotypal disorder can be helped with anti-psychotics.

schizotypal personality 

a personality disorder with a schizophrenic flavor. It differs from the similarly named "schizoid personality" in that schizotypes want to socialize but have social phobia, wheras schizoids are content to be alone.

Also schizotypes have more strange symptoms than schizoids; for example Ideas of reference, magical thinking, bizarre fantasies or preoccupations.

So in a way schizotypal is sort of like a mild version of Schizophrenia

Eeyore seems to have a schizotypal personality. Today he didn't feel very sociable so he was sitting at home listening to Dylan, and dylan was singing about his life, Cobain does that too.

Then he did some research on the idea that school is the Great Whore of Babylon. Well he knows it is not the actual whore yet, but the similarities are interesting. (They both make some people rich and nearly everybody stupid)

A shower that, for no logical reason, bounces between freezing cold and red hot.

Can also cause the "schizothermic shuffle" as you frantically try to avoid the water.

I've just had another schizothermic shower. One minute it was freezing, the next it was scalding.

Schizonomy is when news comes out that we've gotten all the bad guys off the streets, but everyone thinks that sucks because we're gonna have to spend a lot more tax money to keep them in jail.
