Contraction of the words "media" and "idiots". Used to describe "news" reporters who continually make inaccurate reports, write stories without fact checking, run government press-releases without any follow-up questions, or provide analysis on topics they know nothing about.

The mediots completely missed this news story.

medectophobia

The irrational fear (phobia) of an underlying penis shape in the crotch region of clothing. This can be a fear of the actual outline, or the fear that a bunch of the fabric may be in fact indicative of actual real turgid manflesh.
